Whispered Song Ten Moons Cat In Training She-Cat
Whispered Song is like the flickering light of a fire or the lazy orange flowers that dance in the breeze. She can only be described as having a flaming pelt, one that seems to stand out above all else and which enchants the viewer with it's strange patterns and swirls. A real beauty captured in a cat. Her pelt consists of three main colors. A blinding light yellow which makes up most of her face and underbelly, an orange or rusty fur which clings to her sides and creates circles on her tail, and a gentle orange that delicately outlines her face with stripes that seem to emphasize her eyes.
Another stunning addition to this she-cat's complexion is those vivid green eyes. Most say that they even compete against the white tom, Falling Snow's, brilliant green orbs. They always seem to have a glimmer of intelligence and higher understanding compared to cats her age. For Whispered Song, her sight is almost worth more then her scent or hearing ability.
She has a small cut in her right ear, something that she has had as long as she can remember. And her pelt is not very easily kept groomed. Since her fur around her side and back are a bit longer then the rest of her pelt, it easily gets knotted or tangled.
A most peculiar thing about Whispered Song is her ability to talk. Well more like her ability not to talk. She has never in her life said a single word, and it is presumed that she is mute. The only time her mouth is open is when feeding, drinking, grooming, or scenting. Not a word has been uttered from it and most cats think it will stay that way. Some only presume that she has chosen to become this way, so that she can avoid other's questions and so that others will take pity on her.
Whispered Song is most content with her muteness. Never has she yearned for the ability to speak to others, it has never been an experience that she has been able to explore and so she does not understand why it is necessary. She can communicate just as well with body language and such. She does of course fantasize about hearing her own voice, often wondering if it would sound like sweet honey or ragged like sharp rocks.
She tends to hand around older cats, not really enjoying the company of younger felines who talk more. They always seem to forget that she can't answer back. Adults were more mature in that matter. Of course her handicap has put a strain on her training but she tends not to think much about it.
Her history is much like a puzzle that is yet to be solved. When she was very young, around three moons, she was dumped in the middle of the clearing that made up the Ancient's dens. No cat had any idea who she was or whom her parents were but they could not just leave her out in the cold without any protection. Most cats thought that her nonexistent ability to speak was just from shock and that it wore off, but it was long ago that they had stopped trying to convince her to say something. She just didn't know how.
Others looked down upon her as an outcast, someone who was much different then them. The other kits refused to play with her, and Whispered Song would spend her days sitting alone, her mouth opening and closing in an attempt to produce some sort of sound. She had longed to be able to talk to the others, to be able to laugh when they tackled each other to the ground and to be able to respond whenever they talked to her.
When her time came to become a CIT, she had given up hope on talking. She had decided that being different wasn't so bad, she could still do all the things that others could, maybe even better. Since she could not talk, her hearing had improved and it made her an excellent hunter, even though she didn't blend in very well with the environment.
Other CIT's made fun of her for her handicap and Whispered Song was especially hurt when a fellow CIT proclaimed her dumb since she couldn't say anything. She permanently drew back from others after that and forced herself to be content with being friends with the elders and a select few adults. She still has problems with others teasing her.
Dying Eagle Edit: Power purchased and is, "The ability to locate and communicate with cats through their minds."
