The Ancient Cats are a bit different then the Clans. Their ranks are set up differently and so you might want to skim through this.
Leader:The leader, like in the Clans, is the person who leads the ancient cats through things. However, he/she does not always have the ultimate say in things. If the cats want to have a say in a decision, they "Cast Stones" or each of them takes a stone and casts it in what they want the outcome of a decision to be, and then the leader must accept the outcome.
Also, there is no deputy. When the leader retires, whether it be from old age or from not feeling like he/she can go through with the position anymore, then they elect the cat they feel fits the position better. Finally, they have only one life. Sharpclaws:They are like the warriors of a Clan. They are trained hunters mainly, seeing as they don't have as many threats to fight off, though they are more trained in fighting then CIT's in general. If the leader wishes to retire, he/she will usually pick a Sharpclaw to fill the position. CIT:Short for Cats in Training which is short for Cats Training to be Sharpclaws. These cats are equal to apprentices in the Clans, but there is one small difference, their training is shared by all Sharpclaws. Usually if a CIT gets attached to a Sharpclaw and other way around, that Sharpclaw will do a lot of the younger cats training. QueensQueens are well, queens. They are she-cat who are currently nursing kits or are expecting kits. Once their kits become CITs, they'll go back to their Sharpclaw duties. KitsKits are cats that are not Cat in Training yet. They'll usually become so when they are about five moons, but it is usually only when the leader feels they are ready, or when their mom requests them to become Cats in Training. EldersElders are retired Sharpclaws. They hold a lot of knowledge and a few of them will probably know more about herbs then anyone else in the Clan. If you need help, these cats are the best ones to approach.
